The first skyscraper in the world was built in America, particularly in New York City . Construction was completed in 1 May of 1890. The aim of building was commercial office services. The Equitable Building has 40m (130ft) height, 7 floors and first public elevator in the city. It is said that skyscraper was the epicenter of luxury, but we don’t have any proof. After 42 years, in 1932 it was destroyed. The reason of the accident was the apathy of Philip O’Brien (timekeeper of the Cafe Savarin). He had forgoten and had thrown still-lit match into the garbage after lighting the gas in his office.
This is the result of carelessness.
Perhaps this was the start of new era in structure, and the starting point of the magnificent innovation was the Equitable early in 1890 year.
Nowadays most advanced countries build skyscrapers and believe me they are quite far from the Equitable Building.

3. Abraj Al-Bait Towers.

Abraj Al-Bait is the third highest skyscraper in the world. It is located in Saudi Arabia, to be exact in Mecca. The height of the hotel tower is 601 meter with 120 floors. It has a large prayer room which can serve up to 10.000 people at once. Also complex has five star hotel, five-story shopping mall and enormous parking. The capacity of complex constitutes up to 100.000 people. Furthermore, tower contains Lunar Observation Center, which was built for looking after the moon during Holy Months. The biggest clock of the world was inserted on the top floor.(43 meters X43 meters)

2.Shanghai Tower
The world’s second biggest skyscraper located in China, to be exact in Shanghai. The height of this high-minded building is 632 meters.
It has 128 (5 below ground) floors. Whole skyscraper is covered with by glass which provides 360 degree views. 258-room hotel situated between the 84th and 110th floors operated by Jin Jiang International Hotels group. This building full of luxury restaurants, cafes, bars and lots of modern facilities.

This is the highest skyscraper in the world. Height of this gigantic and huge building is 829.8 meters. Burj Khalifa was named in honour of the president United Arab Emirates Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The location of the skyscraper is in Dubai, is in of of the famous tourism and business centers of the world. It has 154 usable floors plus 9 maintenance levels and 46 spire levels with 2 below-ground parking levels. Building broke a large number height records. Skyscraper was designed based on cultural historical and regional features such as spiral minaret (lighthouse of a mosque).Tower contains 30.000 houses and 9 hotels as well.
